Lately, I have been using a boilerplate version of the Flexi template. This is the most bare-bones Flexi template, with no styles, only layout.
I've also encountered a significant conflict when using VirtueMart and K2 with the Flexi template and have remedied the potential for further conflicts by adding emc- prefix to all layout elements.
